Biography
Jonathan D. Hoff is a litigation attorney who specializes in financial elder abuse, contested conservatorships and guardianships, assisting professional fiduciaries in conservatorship and trust administration, assisting clients with beneficiary representation, heirship determinations, breach of fiduciary duty matters, actions to remove trustees, power of attorney violations, accounting actions, denied creditors’ claim civil actions, and other trust and estate related matters. For his work, Mr. Hoff has been selected as a Rising Star in the Estate & Trust Litigation category of Super Lawyers in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Mr. Hoff is a 2017 graduate of California Western School of Law. He graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2014 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2017 and is also admitted to practice in the district courts. Prior to joining Frisella Neilson, APC, Mr. Hoff worked in probate, estate planning, and trust administration in San Diego, as well as tax law and conservatorships/guardianships. Additionally, Mr. Hoff has experience in business law working at a large multinational firm in Paris, France.
Since 2020, Mr. Hoff has been serving as a Court Appointed Counsel for the San Diego County Superior Court representing individuals who are legally entitled to an attorney in Probate Court proceedings.
Mr. Hoff is fluent in French having lived most of his childhood in Paris. He attended boarding school at Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut before moving to San Diego for law school.
Mr. Hoff enjoys watching sports, traveling, and spending time with his wife and four children.
